Sparkle Poison has been operating since 1874 with different members at each time. It is expected that the band will live on for about 36,000 additional years. Members of our times are Guðlaug Mía Eyþórsdóttir and Steinunn Harðardóttir. The were both abandoned as children and brought up in a notorious foster home which was acussed of witchcraft and slavery. Sparkle Poison regards each concert as a special item and treats all genres equally exept jazz.

Sparkle Poison has adopted a number of animals in danger of extinction. Feel free to come by and visits "Sparkle Poison's Rare Animals" on the isle of Man.

KAHVERENGI APTAL AYI (/Izmir/Turkey/Copenhagen/Denmark)

kahverengi karton ayi was formed in 2007. the members are murat and merih. they are bffs and have shared a flat in izmir for a long time.
they record noisy and calm pop songs using old keyboards, a couple of effect pedals, broken cymbals, toms, electronic toys, cassette tapes etc.
they’ve released 4 albums in editions of 10 to 15 copies, on cassette tape and cd-r. each copy has been packaged and designed differently and in hand, and they were all given away to friends as presents.

after 4 albums and a couple of concerts merih moved to copenhagen, denmark in 2009. murat is getting fucked up going back and forth between izmir and istanbul.
against all odds, they are still bffs.

” D’ordinaire les compositeurs de musique de film attendent les images pour écrire la bande son qui va avec. Lafidki a grillé une étape et c’est tant mieux pour nous. Parfaite BO pour docu contemplatif et un peu foutraque, plus Abyss que Monde du silence, plus Starship Troopers que Microcosomos, on ne se lasse pas de réinventer les créatures inconnues et translucides qui pourraient illustrer les compositions de ce Chewbacca aux doigts de fée. Derrière son masque velu, Lafidki construit des pistes jouissives pleines de mystères et d’artifice, un peu comme si on apprenait que son costume n’en était pas un et que la plupart de ses sons se fabriquait au fond de sa gorge. En manque de sensations ? Rendez-vous au Nyctalope.

SVETLANA THE ANTHROPOLOGIST (Boston/Usa)
Formerly a member of Railcars, Dasha Bulatova has recently embarked upon a solo project that combines elements of noise and drone music. She seeks to use sound to show reverence to everything inside and outside, both to the blood booming through our bodies and the sky thundering overhead.

"On imagine les yeux de Svetlana se mettre à briller en parcourant les allées des brocantes. Partout autour, des objets dont elle va pouvoir ajouter les sonorités à sa bande magnétique. Comme un réflexe, un creux, un biseau ou une tension deviennent des échos, des souffles et des vibrations. ETHEREAL DOOM COSMONAUT (Berkeley/Usa)

is Sebastian Dionisio, formerly of campfire fame. His music is what happens when you want to sit in the forest listening to dub and kompakt records all day but instead you have to go to the city for work and school. Some of the songs are all digital, some have guitar.

Comme le microfilm et le microsillon, Ethereal Doom Cosmonaut aime le travail de réduction. Mais si les recettes pour fixer les images et la musique sont éprouvées, elles le sont moins quand on s’attaque au quotidien. Ainsi Ethereal Doom Cosmonaut a inventé les siennes pour plaquer le réel sur un 8 pistes. On reconnait l’apaisement d’une ballade en forêt ou les plaintes de la ville ficelées entre deux modulations de fréquence – même si on hésite encore avec une bande-son tout droit ramenée de la Lune ou la prise live dans l’estomac d’un ours contrarié par la faim. Vous imaginez un peu le boulot… Combinaison d’astronaute ou armure contre les bêtes sauvages, on ne sait pas comment Sebastian a procédé, et c’est tant mieux, la magie et le mystère nous ont toujours captivés.By Antoine Garnier
