Performance surréaliste, croisement de Daniel Johnston et Michael Jackson (Michael Jackston?), en tous cas son style touchant funky, house, soul lo-fi est bien unique et ne laissera personne indifférent!

Expert dub lo-fi digital ou analogique, sa musique va droit au cœur, et aux jambes. D'abord sorti en 2009 sur le fameux label reggae chiptune Jahtari, Honest John's ne s'y est pas trompé le produisant. Entre dub brut, library music, sa musique se marie parfaitement à la voix de Superstar dans leur récent collaboration. En live, il manipule les cassettes et les disques pour explorer toutes les facettes du soundsystem et du dancefloor.

Gwen Jamois alias Iueke est un artiste aux multiples facettes. Dès sa jeunesse il croise l’apprentissage de la musique concrète qu’il étudia au GRM et les rave parties, et ne cessera jamais d’investiguer toutes les musiques. DJ, producteur, musicien, collectionneur pionnier du digging, collaborateur et ami de Coldcut, Luke Vibert, Aphex Twin, ou Charles Bullen (This Heat)… il a permis de nous faire redécouvrir de nombreuses perles oubliés, que ce soit Black Devil Disco Club, des albums obscurs de musique électro-acoustique, ou les grands compositeurs de l’illustration sonore (Roger Roger, Nino Nardini).

Il a créé en 2012 aux côtés de Zaltan, le label Antinote aujourd’hui célèbre, mais qui avait pour but au départ de sortir ses premiers disques, provenant pourtant d’enregistrements antérieurs d’une vingtaine d’années.
C’est donc un des collectionneurs les plus pointus, et un DJ n’ayant perdu ni le sens de la fête, ni un sens artistique aigu. Aimant surprendre, ce virtuose des platines peut passer du free jazz à la gabber sans que vous vous en aperceviez.

Fred Serendip aka Sinead O'Connick Jr. est organisateur de soirées au sein de la maison de disques + festival Serendip Lab. Ce digger passionné ré-édite avec son label (ou en collaboration avec Born Bad Records, Dark Entries...) des perles oubliées de synth-wave, d'italo ou de funk peu orthodoxe. On lui doit par exemple les compilations Chébran, Deviant Disco Records, French Synth Lovers... DJ tout terrain il vous réserve quelques surprises pour la fin de la soirée.

dp's new album picks up where 'rise' (2017) left off, politically charged, hyperreal and unremitting soundscapes containing harsh social and self-criticism clad in a sense of impending doom spiced with an energizing optimism and informed by faith in the humanimal.

a poignant reminder of humanity's position on this planet, the tension on this album is expressed solely through sound and 'lyrics' (as opposed to the extensive liner-notes that accompanied 'rise'), impliying a necessary shift from a rationalised perception of life to one of a sentient, a part of a whole, as suggested in dp's 'humanimalism' concept.

sound sources/instruments include voice, body sounds, field recordings, cello, violin, piano, electric bass, live performance recordings and dp's organically growing bank of “hitting” sounds culled from recordings of whips, punches, slaps, smacks, slamming doors & windows, hammered chairs and tables and objects flying about and breaking. a careful playfulness with rhythmical structures, as hinted at on 'rise', is further pursued.

the artwork is developed by long-time dp collaborator @rcrectum using machine-learning algorithms to hallucinate insectian imagery based on original photos.

“what i protest against is the restriction and reduction of life. of all life!
the restriction of knowledge to rationality. the reduction of beings to objects, to food, or to lives to be exploited. the restriction of humans to problems locked out at borders. the restriction of our interesting differences to categorical & simplistic identification patterns such as nationality or religion. or the daft restrictions called borders, that inevitably lead to mental and self-restriction. the reduction of people to labour or consumers. the reduction of nature to a resource that is just there to be used. the reduction of the human potential via public educational systems to conditioned automatons. the reduction of produce, or energy, or lives, to waste. the restriction of the i as a being without interest in knowledge or growth of self, as binary beings that just compute and consume or otherwise sleep, as market and media suggest. i question these standards & values, they make me feel uncomfortable. i cannot agree with these restrictions, with this waste. but i am a part of it.

so a lot of my criticism comes from self-reflection. i have to deal with the mind and world i live in. and i want to as well, learning is exciting, it makes sense, and pain is a good teacher. so my sound takes on the form of, for lack of better words, a kind of expelling, a purge, a healing, a ritual, where 'negative/energy- depleting/restrictive' objects, subjects and topics are addressed in order for them to be expelled.

my work might touch on topics such as animal rights, human rights and environmental awareness and sensitization, but actually it’s the interconnectivity or hyperconnectivity (some call it chaos) between all these things that interests me - for example, how these topics relate to the idea of domination or to supremacy and hierarchical thinking, or to dualism (and binary dominance) or to the economic mindset, which, in my view, is one of the main destructive forces of our day and age. profit has become more important than life. my work talks about this disrespect. my work engages itself for respect. and for engagement.”

Bruno Billaudeau (solo) "les boîtes bleues"

Luthier expérimental et musicien-improvisateur, Bruno Billaudeau crée des instruments inhabituels présentés comme des sculptures qui doivent donner envie d’entendre; il se place en tant qu’interprète de cet ensemble singulier. Sous la forme d’un parcours, et par différents modes de jeux en direct, l’un après l’autre il donne vie à ces instruments insolites. S'installe au centre du dispositif comme un chef d'orchestre, il crée une sorte de dialogue entre la machine et l'homme.
Aucun son préenregistré, toute la matière sonore se crée et se transforme lors du moment éphémère de la performance. Sa démarche musicale se situe dans le temps présent entre musique électronique expérimentale et musique concrète. Un univers où il est possible de rompre avec les formats, de plonger à contre courant des systèmes d’écriture, d’être rebelle, de résister, de réveiller nos émotions, d’entrevoir un autre miroir à notre quotidien.

Anton Mobin travaille l'improvisation depuis le début des années 2000. Dés sa rencontre avec le collectif H.A.K., Anton se tourne très rapidement vers une pratique expérimentale, détournant son instrument, la basse, pour finalement utiliser que des microphones associés à différents objets sonores pendant de nombreuses années. Passionné de lutherie expérimentale et des principes du “Do It Yourself”, Anton Mobin construit son premier instrument en 2009 puis une seconde version plus détaillée en 2011 qu’il nomme “Chambres Préparées” et dans lesquelles sont agencés une multitude d’objets du quotidien amplifiés par des transducteurs piézoélectriques (micro-contact) et des pickups électro-magnétique (micro guitare). Le terme “Chambre Préparée” désigne à la fois un espace délimité et de petite taille dans lequel les objets sont tous réunis. Ce nom fait aussi référence à un terme usuel dans la Musique Expérimentale qui est celui d’instrument “préparé”.

Anton développe depuis de nombreuses années une approche personnelle, intuitive et énergique à la somme d’une pratique accrue et de nombreux concerts en solo ou accompagné par de nombreux musiciens internationaux. Citons entre autres:
la scène “New & Improvised Music” à Londres (les pionniers Adam Bohman ou encore les légendes du free jazz Charlie Collins et Derek Saw, mais aussi avec la jeune garde dynamique menée par Benedict Taylor, Tom Jackson, Daniel Thompson, Tom Jackson, Colin Webster, Will Connor et dans des ensembles plus important comme The London Improvisers Orchestra (Steve Beresford, Terry Day...).
Des personnages emblématiques de l’avant-garde comme Alexei Borisov, vétéran de l’ ”Underground” à Moscow, le poète et artiste multi-média Bryan Lewis Saunders, Ruelgo Thedwarf dans "Le Désordre" (fondateur du Syndicat, pionnier de la musique industrielle en France dans les années 80) ou encore avec Chrs Galarreta, artiste péruvien de musique bruitiste et électronique, parmi d’autres collaborations plus éphémères avec des artistes fantasques comme le chanteur de Dead Kennedys, Jello Biafra, ou le légendaire saxophoniste américain Sonny Simmons.
Privilégiant les formes en duo, Anton Mobin est actif dans divers projets duo en Europe, dont "Crash Duo" avec le guitariste français Ayato, "Attr Act" avec le guitariste italien Riipus, "Bloem" avec le saxophoniste belge Jean-Jacques Duerinckx, développe un projet audio/vidéo avec l’artiste américain Pierce Warnecke, "Appendicks" et plus récemment, entame un nouveau projet en duo avec le saxophoniste Gabriel Lemaire.

Son travail de musicien expérimental et d’improvisateur est largement documenté en ligne sur le label H.A.K. Lo-Fi Record qui répertorie tous les enregistrement effectués entre 2000 et 2010 mais a été aussi massivement publié en ligne ; des webradios de création aux netlabels.

Xavier Mussat a consacré une première vie à la bande dessinée.
Auteur remarqué de deux albums autobiographiques (Sainte famille publié en 2002 par les éditions Ego comme x qu’il a co-fondé en 1994, et Carnation publié par Casterman en 2013) et illustrateur publié pendant 10 ans, il a mené à travers ce parcours artistique une réflexion graphique sur la réinvention des codes narratifs de la bande dessinée sous un angle résolument expérimental et improvisé.
La nécessité de pratiquer un art vivant, inventif dans un « temps réel » l’a éloigné des processus du dessin et l’a amené a développer une pratique de la guitare amplifiée improvisée.
Xavier Mussat a intégré en 2014 l’orchestre de musique expérimentale Electron, dirigé par Olivier Benoit (Directeur artistique de l’Orchestre National de Jazz) au sein duquel il suit depuis quatre ans une formation à l’improvisation collective.
Désormais pleinement engagé dans la musique, il participe à plusieurs projets qui lui ont permis de multiplier les expériences scéniques et de développer un langage sonore personnel et atypique : contournement de l’usage conventionnel de l’instrument, recherche de textures bruitistes, construction de fils sonores, drones chancelants par superpositions de matières.
Il joue régulièrement avec d’autres musiciens dans des rencontres scéniques éphémères :Sophie Agnel : Piano préparé, Jaques Pochat : Saxophone et objets sonores, Augustin Bette : Batterie, Basile Naudet : Saxophone...

Parallèlement à ces rencontres, Xavier Mussat s’associe à des poètes ou des écrivains pour travailler sur la question de l’accompagnement de l’écriture dans son oralité.
Il se produit avec eux dans des lectures musicales improvisées : Hélène gaudy, Paul-André landes, Charles Robinson, Hugues Leroy, Romain Verger, Delphine Breteshé.
Fondateur du label expérimental Apocope, il publie également des projets associant le dessin, le texte et la musique et organise en association avec le label Eg0cide des concerts de musique improvisée à Paris, notamment la série Solo Duo Trio dont il a pris l'initiative début 2018

La soirée se concluera par un trio réunissant les trois musiciens.

Stylistically, the music on Botox – a debut full length for Warrego Valles – seems to draw influences from a deep underground electronic dance music, but it is based on its contemporary deconstruction, which results in a dark minimalist abstract post-genre electro and glitchy sonic landscapes. The album’s thematic undercurrents tell a story about the present times: ephemerality of all action and destruction of the planet due to climate change and slavery. A grim vision of a world ruled by psychopaths driven by the will to control, greed and domination.

“How else can the drive for immortality be manifest than as an unstoppable exploitation, an endless extraction of resources, a seemingly limitless growth on a finite planet? In a dystopian post-apocalyptic vision called forth into the present in these abstract sounds with words buried in sombre electronic beats and glitches, there’s no sign of mankind after we’ve lost the red sun, our land and sky. For its 36 release, Da Heard It Records floats into the parallel worlds of Bill Vortex.

This album is indeed all about parallels, as it multiplies references to more than thirty years of synthetic and dancing music. In this Vortex Des Réformés (“vortex of the reformed”) are fit together with precision pieces of various geometric shapes, reminiscent of the cassette’s illustration as imagined by Vomplie.

Unlike many albums, the tracks here are not thought of as part of a uniform whole, but rather as a well-constructed journey across eras and styles. Acid house, original electro, African influences, northern skweee, tortured breakbeats, and ambient interludes alternate back and forth between respite and high BPM.

As surprising as it may seem, these contrasted aural territories never give off the impression to have been put together as a compilation. On the contrary, they form together a work that takes the shape of an homage to the musicians who accompanied the sonorous everyday life of Patrice Curtillat throughout all these years.

The result is a musical portrait of which each line resonates like a thoroughly studied influence, and that condenses all of the know-how of its author onto a single magnetic tape. Curious music lovers will certainly take pleasure in unwinding it to retrace in their own way this precious history…

For the past 15 years the Tanzanian megalopolis of Dar Es Salaam has had one of the most exciting underground electronic music scenes in East Africa. A constellation of micro-scenes from Mchiriku, Sebene and Segere all the way to its latest mutation of Singeli that finally after years of lurking in the underground has exploded into the mainstream and taken over Bongo Flava as the music of choice amongst Tanzania's youth. Born in the sprawling working class neighborhoods of Tandale and Manzese, Singeli's signature sound consists of fast paced frantic loops interlocking with each other, with influences from Zanzibars Tarab music all the way to South African afro-house coupled with mc's who often spit satirical lyrics about the challenges facing Tanzania's youth, from police corruption to the complications of dating girls when you are broke. If there is one studio that stands out amongst the hundreds that dot Dar es Salaam's musical landscape it is SISSO RECORDS. Centered around producers; Bwax, Sisso, Bampa Pana and Yung Keyz Morento and Mc's Dogo Niga and Makavelli, they were early pioneers of the Singeli sound. Whilst some Singeli artists have begun fusing their music with more traditional Tanzanian hip hop, Sisso have remained uncompromising in their sound, always raw, fast with a punk DIY aesthetic that can at times verge on Noise and Gabber, to produce a spell binding music that is like no other Sound System culture in the region.

FAUCHAGE COLLECTIF
Tout débute en l’an de crasse 2014. Fortement enjoyée par la scène DIY parisienne, une poignée d’amis décide d’apporter sa pierre à l’édifice et organise un festival de courts métrages et quelques concerts : Fauchage Collectif est né. Quelques années plus tard, le Fauchage Crew redouble d’effort et s’illustre dans l’organisation de concerts, d’expos et de projections. L’idée est de proposer des soirées « en marge » de la culture mainstream. Ainsi naissent les messes sales et sauvages de l’association :
Graisse Auditive, Flashy Urbain, Pvnk Bordel, Goutte d’Acide...
