💢 ISAAC SOTO & Cirrina Lab. (Mexico City) presents : Bilingüe
In Bilingüe, the creative languages ​​of producer Isaac Soto and biologist and visual artist Inés Gutiérrez come together from Gutiérrez’s Cirrina Lab. Both artists take naturalistic sampling as a pivotal part of their creative process: Cirrina Lab extracts images of microscopic living beings live, and transforms them into hypnotic, forceful animated pieces. Soto collects field recordings to fuse them into downtempo tracks replete with texture. And from this shared dynamic, Cirrina Lab & Isaac Soto have generated an audiovisual range that swings between harmony and abstraction: a micro-macro cosmos of image and sound that reveals itself in the immersive experience. Among recent releases from both artists, highlights include the Cirrina Lab video clip for “All hands” from AMNL PRNT, and Soto’s EP, El mítico manzano newtoniano (The Mythical Newtonian Apple Tree), with which he launched VAA, his recording label.
