Tomoko Sauvage, musicienne/artiste sonore japonaise installée à Paris, travaille depuis plusieurs années avec des waterbowls composés d’hydrophones (des micros sous-marins) plongés dans des bols en porcelaine, de tailles variées, remplis d’eau. Son travail se réalise dans des formes variées : performances de longue-durée, installations sonores, compositions aux collaborations musicales et chorégraphiques.

Pour cette soirée, Tomoko laissera de côté ses bols (mais pas complètement !) pour nous présenter autre chose.

Elle s’est produite en Europe, aux Etats-Unis, au Canada et au Japon et son travail est édité chez and/OAR (US), aposiopèse (BE), dokidoki editions (FR).

YJ & JY TRIO
(YAN JUN & JUN-Y CIAO, Pékin/Shanghai)

Yan Jun, musician and poet based in Beijing. Currently lives in Berlin for an artist residency (daad).
He is working on improvised music, experimental music and field recording. Alongside of playing in music venues, he also goes to audience’s homes to play with the environment and whatever else is available in the room (Living Room Tour project). He also performs hypnotizing noise at any place for small audiences. He also amplifies body movements or other performative elements in a simple manner.

Jun-Y Ciao is an artist, music and sound art practitioner, and curator/organizer for art/music projects, lives and works in Shanghai.
He is a member of free music duo “MTDM” (with Tao Yi in 2005) and the founder of the Free Music Collective of Shanghai (in 2010). He is a member of the artist collective “ZUZHI” (since 2009). He was a long-term contributing editor for the “Art World” magazine, starting the column “One and Half Tone Music” (from 2009 to 2013).

KELLY JAYNE JONES
(Manchester)

Sound artist and improviser, Kelly Jayne Jones works with sonic textures from her sound archive that is constantly evolving. Inspiration is taken from the recording of concrete sounds, building up compositional balance / unbalance, harmony / disharmony and experimenting with the combinations of sounds.
She has performed at Colour Out of Space, Tusk, Cafe Oto, Supersonic, ICA London and has exhibited work in various projects at Tate Modern, Museum of Modern Art NY, dOCUMENTA 13. KJJ has released limited edition vinyl and cassette.

EMMANUEL ALLARD
(Paris)

Emmanuel Allard (Fabriquedecouleurs) s'attache à une approche sauvage de la synthèse sonore, dessinant crêtes et plaines acoustiques au moyen d'un synthétiseur modulaire Buchla.
Actif depuis 1999, confondateur début 2000 du label List (electronique et musique improvisée), on a pu l'entendre aux Instants Chavirés, au Batofar, dans le cadre de l'exposition Écoute au Centre Pompidou, Présence Électronique à Radio France et internationalement - PEAM (Italie), Provitreff (Zurich), Tonic (New York), Radar (Mexico), Aichi University (Japon).
