]]>• Katapulto’s unhinged maximalism, nailed here to some dancefloor discipline, has resulted in an album of immense delight. Previously pigeonholed as “an explosion in a marimba factory”, imagine a deliriously inventive pinball machine jammed inside a jukebox featuring Yello, Blancmange, Jimi Tenor and Daft Punk. ‘Big Iron’ sees Wojtek Rusin narrating a cowboy shoot-out to rubbery techno, as if Morricone had discovered glow sticks. The filtered disco of ‘Fake French Rap’ and ‘Power Failure’ (boasting impressively demented guest vocals from Amanda Palma) suggests a neon-lit nightclub run by Klaus Nomi. There’s a brilliantly original reading of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing’ morphed into sleekly unsettling day-glo house music. It’s immaculately produced and genuinely special.

3nipples• Pralines of Doom robi pozytywne wrażenie. Z pewnością miło zaskakuje – więc, choćby z ciekawości, chce się do tego albumu wrócić. Przesłuchać jeszcze raz. A potem jeszcze raz. I w końcu stwierdzamy, że to całkiem niezły kawałek electro punka.
